The Azores islands are a volcanic island chain that is part of the country of Portugal. If you like rough landscapes, little fishing villages and blue water as far as the eye can see, then you will really like it here.
I think I’m the first smurf in the world to ever travel to this strange black landmass in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.
Planner Mom was a smartie pant’s and made sure to investigate the dive scene before we arrived. She found a place to stay only five minutes from the marina and dive shop. She even organized a dive for the day after we arrived, and I was sure glad she did. One look at the water and all I could think about was getting salty like a french fry in the ocean.
